Notice is hereby given to all members of the Scandinavian Association for Thoracic Surgery (SATS) that the 2019 General Assembly will be held on Sep 6, from 12.15-13.00 at the Stockholm Waterfront Congress Center, Nils Ericsons plan 4, Stockholm, Sweden.

The 9th Annual Meeting of the Scandinavian Association for Thoracic Surgery (SATS) will be held in Helsinki, Finland, next August 16 – 18, 2017  (Wednesday to Friday). The Finnish Organizing Committee, led by Professor Tatu Juvonen, have already put a lot of effort into preparing a very interesting program, both with invited lectures by internationally recognized speakers and abstract presentations.

The Ingegerd and Viking Olof Björk Scholarchip 2016

At the SATS 2016 meeting in Reykjavik, Dr Hanna Jensen MD, PhD recieved the 2016 Ingegerd and Viking Olof Björk scholarship. The Ingegerd and Viking Olof Björk scholarship amounts to 30.000 Euros and is awarded to a young an outstanding colleague to honour the memory of the renowed Swedish heart surgeon, Viking Olof Björk.
