Scandinavian Cardiovascular Journal (1997-current)

The Scandinavian Cardiovascular Journal, formerly known as Scandinavian Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery (1967-1996) is the official journal of the Swedish Heart Association, the Swedish Association for Thoracic Surgery and the Norwegian Cardiothoracic Surgery Society. The editorial base of the journal is Scandinavian; however both readership and contributors are truly international.

Aims and Scope

The principal aim of Scandinavian Cardiovascular Journal is to promote cardiovascular research that crosses the borders between disciplines. The journal is a forum for the entire field of cardiovascular research, basic and clinical including:

  • Cardiology – Interventional and non-invasive
  • Cardiovascular epidemiology
  • Cardiovascular anaesthesia and intensive care
  • Cardiovascular surgery
  • Cardiovascular radiology
  • Clinical physiology
  • Transplantation of thoracic organs
